Androsia is a batik fabric-and-clothing manufacturing enterprise located on the island of Andros in the Bahamas. It uses the Environmental Beauty of the Bahamas for inspiration in its print designs and brilliant colours.
Androsia has a complete line of women's, men's, and children's batik clothing, resort wear, and cruise wear, as well as accessories, home goods, batik fabric sold by the yard, and fabric fat quarters for quilting.
Androsia is sold on almost all of the inhabited islands of the Bahamas including Nassau, Paradise Island, Grand Bahama, Andros, Chub Cay, the Abacos, Harbour Island, Eleuthera, Cat Island, Long Island, and Exuma. This is the best of unique authentic Bahamas shopping.

ABOUT ANDROSIA
The company was originally started as a cottage industry in 1973, the year of Bahamian independence, with two goals in mind- First, to create meaningful employment for locals and secondly, to create a quality product that would, through its design and colour, highlight the beauty of the Bahamas. Androsia is a strictly Bahamian product.
Our fabric designs come out of the cloth using the art of batik. Every yard is waxed, dyed, cut, and sewn right here at Androsia, making it truly Bahamian in design AND spirit.
We are so fortunate that we have developed a way of using fiber reactive dyes that allow us great reproducibility while at the same time the dyes offer great wash fastness, color fastness, and rubbing fastness. These dyes keep our colors bright, clear, and upbeat while displaying the striking wonders of our tropical world.
All Androsia pieces (with design or not) are preshrunk because of how we remove the excess dyes and wax. Androsia is very easy care, once you wash it by itself in hot water to remove the excess dye (any dye that comes out will not change the color) you can wash the item anyway you want without fear of damaging it. You most certainly do not have to dry clean or hand wash!
